Yuri Veselik (was born in 1974).

The artist has graduated the Art Studio (1982-1986), Children Art Studio (1986-1990), Educational Research and Production Centre of Artistic Painting (1990-1994), LSPU Artistic Graphic Faculty (1996-2001).

«I was introduced to the art world in my early childhood. The life in a family of artists and the atmosphere of creativity has basically left me no choice and at the age of 10 I have already decided who I want to become. Since then I was studying at an Art Studio. This gave me the will to continue my educational process and I was full of ideas. Further on I successfully passed the entrance exam to the LSPU Artistic Graphic Faculty.

I could not even describe the feeling of happiness that I was experiencing at the moment. I was enjoying the freedom of self-expression, the play of different colours and techniques. Among the artists of the past that gave birth to different art styles I was definitely most inspired by Claude Monet and Paul Gaugin. The works of these two artists truly resonated with me and was really close to what I myself was feeling.

After my university graduation I started to paint a lot. Nevertheless counting trivial details of nature was never an objective in itself. Creating an image through atmosphere is much more interesting. As I see it, each new canvas is not only providing endless artistic opportunities, but also is a means to see the world in a new light and record short periods of the real moving world on a static painting. As each artist does, I hope that my best works are yet to come!»

Yuri takes active part in exhibitions, cooperates with regional museums of culture and art - the artist is teaching master classes dedicated to artistic development for children.
