Vyrzhikovsky Edward

Edward Vyrzhikovsky (1928-2008) - Russian Soviet painter, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (since 2001), member of the Leningrad Union of Artists (since 1957).

He graduated from the Leningrad Secondary Art School at the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1948). In the same year he entered the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin, studied with Peter Belousov, Alexander Zaitsev. In 1954 he graduated from the institute in the workshop of Professor Boris Ioganson with the qualification of a painting artist.
Participated in exhibitions since 1952, exhibiting his works together with the works of the leading masters of the fine arts of Leningrad.
In 1989-1992, the works of E. Ya. Vyrzhikovsky were successfully presented at exhibitions and auctions of Russian painting L' Ecole de Leningrad in France.
The works of E. Ya. Vyrzhikovsky are in museums and private collections in Russia, France, Japan, Great Britain, Finland and other countries.
